Wally the Walrus!

AN ARTIC WALRUS IN CO. KERRY!

On the 14th of March 2021, a Walrus was sighted by Aisling and  Adam Quigley of Wild Atlantic Boats  at Glenleam Beach, Co. Kerry, Ireland and reported to the Observers App. Six days later, on the 20th of March 2021, an estimated 300 nautical miles distance, the same individual was observed at Broad Haven (south), Pembrokeshire, Wales, U.K. by Emma Ryan and Drew Buckley. Huge thank you to everyone who logged their observations so far to the Observers App.

Images and videos from reports reveal the walrus is underweight and fatigued but was last seen at high tide swimming out to sea and could be transversing the Irish Sea. We are still concerned about this animals welfare, so please let us know if you see it again.
